ObamaCare is a US Law, created to help improve or repair the state of our countries health care systems. Noticing the lack of help and support that America is providing to it's citizens, ObamaCare, or the Affordable Care Act, is aimed at helping close the gap for Americas in need of medical assistance. To provide adequate and affordable halthcare for the masses.

The bill was signed in back in 2010 and after much controversy and debate. The two major parties were strongly opposed with several amendments made before we came up with the bill as it is today.
Although there have been no improvements as of yet, the original bill was modeled after Mitt Romney's system that was implemented in Massachusetts. The plan seemed to be a model that both of the major political parties might be able to stand beside, and received praise from both ends.

Ultimately the bill was a failure. Statistically there weren't many changes in the number of people who actually went out and purchased health care. The number of freebies increased! RomneyCare has been referred to as a double failure, and Mitt himself doesn't boast about the topic quite as much as he used to.

One of the most controversial topics are the tax penalties assessed to those who do not comply wiht the law and actually purchase health care. The amount of the penalties have increased since the bill was brought in. Its been said that the penalty for not carrying insurance will basically be about as expensive as HALF of the average health care plan for the year.

ObamaCare certainly hasn't had the impact that it was hyped up to deliver. As always there are plenty of biased opinions as to why it's not working. In general the struggles that our country has imposed upon ourselves with our opposing political parties seems to be the main problem and why we cannot come to an actual solution. The law was supposed to fix the American Health Care system but it seems to have made it worse and cost more money than if we left it alone!
